Comparison of the 2.0–2.4 μm SpeX spectrum of G2 and the G2IV standard star HD126868 with an extinction of AV = 2.0 applied. The spectra confirm G2’s spectral type as G2 with very minor differences apart from the faster rotation of G2. The abscissa is wavelength in angstroms.
