The distribution of perihelion distance for the objects cataloged by KOM up until the end of 2022 (red histogram), the NEOS 5 yr nominal mission (blue histogram), and the two combined (black solid histogram). The distribution of objects identified as cataloged by KOM that are not observed by NEOS is shown as a yellow histogram. This shows that the majority, ∼59%, of known objects missed by the NEOS are Amors, where the current surveys are fairly efficient due to the favorable geometry.
