Propagation of the flux ropes structures in the solar wind near the equator for the case S = 2.4 × 105. The expansion compensated density (nr2, top panel) and the transverse Alfvén speed (vA,θ, middle panel) are sliced near the HCS and stacked over time. Structures propagate at the slow wind speed, materialized by the characteristic curve in black. The growth of the fastest growing mode is shown in the bottom panel, with an exponential fit at γtA = 2.2, and exhibits several linear onsets corresponding to the release of structures in the corona.
