JWST F090W image of the SPT-CL J0615−5746 cluster field demonstrating the background subtraction. The image on the left is the original mosaic image before background subtraction. Note the presence of a strong wisp residual as described in Section 3.1. This feature and other nonuniform background features are removed in the background-subtracted image on the right. A residual wisp feature is present in all of the original NIRCam SW images, but it is most prominent in the F090W data.
