The optical spectrum of the newly discovered QSO ID = 124850 in the HSC-Wide area. This object has been confirmed as a QSO at z spec = 5.021, based on the identification of broad Lyα, N V, Si IV, and C IV emission lines. The red line marks the zero level of the continuum.
