Extracted disk-temperature structures based on SED modeling. Note the different vertical scales in the upper vs. lower panels. The disks in the upper panels all display substantial VIRaM layers, of ∼10 au around the CO and N2 midplane the snowlines. By contrast the VIRaM layers in the disks in the lower panels are <1 au thick.
