Difference images (30″ × 30″) of MHO 3252 Y3 in the K band obtained with UKIRT WFCAM during the 2017 observing season. The average of all images in 2017 was subtracted from each individual image, so that subtle changes in the illumination of the reflection nebula become more noticeable. Note that the S(1) line emission of the jet is not visible in these difference images since its flux is constant on the timescale of months and therefore subtracts out.
