Velocity measurements for several lines plotted by phase. Mg II velocities before −3d form two groups that appear to be correlated with oscillator strength. The low gf Mg II lines (red) and O I remain essentially constant after −9d, while the high gf Mg II lines (blue) are about 2000 km s−1 faster at −10d. They decline quickly and reach the same velocity as other Mg II lines by about −4d. Si II velocities appear to establish a plateau at about +2d. S II and Fe II continue to decline. Velocity measurements are listed in Tables 5 and 6.
