Predicted V magnitude (top) and phase angle (bottom) of JU3 in 2007–2015. There were two observational opportunities in late 2007–early 2008 and late mid-2012. Note that the magnitude is not the observed value. Although these magnitudes have some degree of uncertainty, they provide a good perspective for understanding the observed condition of the asteroid.
