We compare the 0.3–10 keV luminosities and photon indices for known, well-studied HMXBs with BH primaries (black stars, dot-dashed error bars) in the high or steep power-law state, NS primaries (green diamonds, solid error bars), and ULXs (red triangles, dotted error bars). X-1 (blue square with thick solid error bars) is consistent with other known BH HMXB systems.
