Caption: Figure 1.

Color composite Stokes I images obtained from IRSF/SIRPOL. Since the centers of the observed fields of LP and CP were slightly different (∼1′), the fields were overlapped. The merged field of view of the image is ∼9′ × 9′; north is up and east is to the left. The reflection nebulae vdB 69 and vdB 67 are located to the left and right, respectively, of the central Mon R2 cluster indicated by the white box. Yellow dotted line: boundary of observed field of LP. Magenta dotted line: boundary of observed field of CP. Cyan dashed line: IR ring illuminated by IRS 2. Green dashed line: eastern nebula illuminated by IRS 3. White contours: 13CO 1–0 integrated emission contours of Ridge et al. (2003).
