Remnant fraction ﹩f_{\mathrm{rem}\,}﹩, expressed as a percentage, plotted vs. ﹩M_{r}﹩ for SDSS and for Millennium. In both cases, the error bars are computed using only the uncertainties in ﹩N_{c}﹩. Given the assumptions that go into the calculation of ﹩f_{\mathrm{rem}\,}﹩, the true uncertainties are likely to be considerably larger.
