Predicted spectral energy distributions of the radiation generated in several boundary layers of a kiloparsec‐scale jet at ﹩\theta ^{*}=1^{\circ }﹩ and 60° assuming ﹩\gamma _{\mathrm{eq}\,}=10^{8}﹩. The blue lines correspond to the same monotonic shear layer profile as in SO02, the black lines correspond to a uniform boundary layer, and the red lines correspond to an anomalous one (see § 3.2). The different contributions to the spectrum are labeled above the corresponding lines. The labels 1 and 2 refer to the components associated to the power law and to the monoenergetic parts of the electron distribution (eq. [2]), respectively.
