V‐ and K_s‐band azimuthally averaged surface brightness profiles of NGC 2523 and NGC 4245 (top panels) and the corresponding radial color profile for each galaxy (bottom panels). The surface brightness profiles were derived using elliptical annuli with the orientation parameters given in Table 2. The diamonds in the surface brightness profiles represent ﹩\mu _{V}﹩, while the triangles represent ﹩\mu _{K_{s}}﹩.
