Map of rotation measures calculated between 1420 MHz and 10.45 GHz at a resolution of 1﹩\farcm﹩15. The number of rotations by π at 1420 MHz have been interpolated from the fits at lower resolution. The white contours are at −205, −200, −195, −190, −185, −180 rad m-2 (shading from dark grey to light grey). Black contours indicate the polarized intensity emission at 10.45 GHz. The black cross indicates the position of the pulsar J2229+6114. The bottom black arrow indicates the spin axis of the pulsar projected to the plane of the sky as determined from the rotation measure distribution. The top arrow indicates the pulsar’s spin axis as determined from a fit of a model torus to the Chandra observation of the PWN (Ng & Romani 2004).
