Ratio dN_G/dN_g between the number dN_G of (identified) groups and the number dN_g of (observed) galaxies in the galaxy sample PPS2. Three typical cases (with different search parameters D₀, V₀, and φ(L); see Table 1) are shown. Within the relevant distance range 2000 ≲ cz/km s⁻¹ ≲ 10,000, the radial distribution of groups and galaxies are in good agreement, i.e., groups and galaxies share the same radial selection function (dN_G/dN_g ~ 1/15 independently of cz).
