Predicted emergent geothermal flux Fg as a function of methane clathrate thickness Hc and SP N2 ice layer depth Hn. Predictions are constructed based on steady-state model of S. Kamata et al. (2019) containing a liquid H2O ocean 60 km beneath SP, corresponding to a mean ice-shell thickness of 125 km. Thus, a clathrate layer of thickness Hc will lie beneath a solid H2O ice layer of thickness = 60 − Hc.
