Notably, the region highlighted by blue circle 2 is physically a discontinuous segment of an extended arm artifact. Because traditional contour-based extractors fail to recognize the broken arm as a single contiguous entity, this fragment is erroneously isolated and misclassified as a genuine source. This structural fragmentation renders parametric morphological metrics (e.g., ellipticity) ineffective, necessitating representation-learning approaches.
