γ distribution for PIC particles in the case of B0/δB0 = 10, as well as the bulk Lorentz factor associated with the current velocity ﹩\tilde{\gamma }=1/\sqrt{1-{\rm{\Delta }}{v}^{2}/{c}^{2}}﹩, with Δv = J/en, for both B0/δB0 = 10 and B0/δB0 = 1. The tail of the particle distribution is fit by a lognormal. Severely charge-starved current sheets with ﹩\tilde{\gamma }\gg 1﹩ are much more probable in the strong-guide-field case.
