Probability distribution of the binary’s decay time for GW200105, the time from capture until the binary reaches the detector frequency band at f = 20 Hz. The calculation makes use of the eccentric posteriors from either G. Morras et al. (2026b) (blue/solid) or K. Kacanja et al. (2025) (red/dashed). Decay times are 15–156 days in the case of G. Morras et al. (2026b) and 11–75 days in the case of K. Kacanja et al. (2025) with 90% credibility.
