SFR–M relation for the 60 galaxies in the ACA EDGE survey (blue circles), sampling the whole range of z = 0 galaxy behavior for log[M */M ] ≈ 10–11.5, including the SFMS and quenched systems below it. Gray filled and open circles are CARMA EDGE and APEX EDGE galaxies included in Bolatto et al. (2017) and Colombo et al. (2020), respectively. The black solid and green dashed lines correspond to the best linear fit for SFMS (Cano-Díaz et al. 2016) and green valley (Colombo et al. 2020) galaxies, respectively. ACA EDGE galaxies constitute a sample of the local Universe with good statistical characteristics and are easy to volume-correct to characterize the star formation activity in nearby massive galaxies.
