Histograms of the χ 2 difference between models for the radial distributions of galaxies with and without the BAO feature fit to the central location with the largest value of W r,s in each no-BAO mock. The dashed line shows the value from fitting Ho’oleilana in Section 2.1.1. The blue histogram shows results allowing for any value of r BAO and s BAO. The red histogram is conditioned on ﹩{r}_{\mathrm{BAO}}=155\,{{\rm{h}}}_{75}^{-1}\,\mathrm{Mpc}﹩ and ﹩{s}_{\mathrm{BAO}}=27\,{{\rm{h}}}_{75}^{-1}\,\mathrm{Mpc}﹩, the radius and width that returns the largest value of W r,s in the data, corresponding Ho’oleilana.
