Residual CCFs for HD 185144. The average CCF profile exhibits two sharp transitions. The latter of these corresponds to the thermal cycling of NEID following the Contreras fire, but the earlier transition in summer 2021 remains unexplained. The more gradual decrease in the depth of the CCF core during Run 2 is the result of a matching decrease in the stellar activity level over that time period.
