Median-combined ﹩{r}^{{\prime} }﹩-band image of comet C/2018 F4 from the UH 2.2 m telescope on UTC 2020 November 20. The two panels show completely the same image except that the right one is overlaid with asinh-scale isophotal contours. As in Figure 2, a 20″-long scale bar together with the comet’s antisolar direction and on-sky component of the negative heliocentric velocity is shown. Also shown is a compass marking directions of J2000 equatorial north and east. The northwestward protrusion of Component A is due to a nearby background-star trail that was not thoroughly removed in the image-combining process. The smudge in the lower-right corner of the image is from another lingering star trail.
