Critical rotation period vs. cohesive strength and neck-to-lobe area ratio. We assume lobe radii of 100 m and 1 km for the left and right panels, respectively. Given some nucleus size, the general trend is that the larger the cohesive strength and the neck-to-lobe area ratio, the shorter the critical rotation period. For a larger nucleus, the influence of cohesion is less important.
