Diffuse Galactic foreground emission between 1 and 10 GeV as predicted by the model template (see text for details). The integral flux ﹩{F}_{\mathrm{gal}}^{(p)}﹩ is plotted in Galactic coordinates (l, b) using a Mollweide projection of the sphere. The Galactic center is in the middle of the map. The Galactic plane has been masked for latitudes ﹩| b| \lt 30﹩° (in gray). The color mapping is log-linear.
