All braking indices where the long-term electrodynamic spin-down is believed to be dominant. The gray dotted line indicates a braking index of three, that which is expected for a pure magnetic dipole. For PSR J1846−0258 (Archibald et al. 2015) and PSR J1119−6127 (Antonopoulou et al. 2015), where the braking index changed following glitches, the gray arrows indicate the direction of change following the glitch.
