One example of a magnetic upflow event (MUE) representing significant signals in all five far-blue-wing wavelength positions of a 6302 Å Stokes V profile (panels (a)–(e)). The numbers in the upper left corners of panels (a)–(e) show the sampling wavelength positions in mÅ from the line core (the blue circles with minus signs in Figure 1(d)), which correspond to Doppler velocities of ﹩-14.6﹩, ﹩-12.5﹩, ﹩-10.4﹩, ﹩-8.3﹩, and ﹩-6.2﹩ km s−1, respectively. The blue contours outline the event where S/N ﹩\geqslant \;4﹩. The corresponding in-line Stokes V image is shown in panel (f). All color bars show the Stokes V signals in percentages, normalized to the Stokes I continuum.
