Distribution of wavelength (λ) and mean equivalent width-to-extinction (WDIB/AV) ratios for 273 optical and NIR DIBs. Along the top axis, the wavelength has been converted to approximate extinction relative to the V band. The red square indicates the DIB studied here, using the WDIB/AV ratio derived in Section 3.2 and the rest wavelength derived in Section 4.3. The gray points are from the compilation in Jenniskens & Désert (1994), and the orange points are the other H-band DIBs reported by Geballe et al. (2011). Green indicates the DIB within the RAVE and Gaia wavelength ranges (Kos et al. 2013), and blue points are measurements of DIBs in SDSS stellar spectra (Lan et al. 2014).
