[α/Fe] as a function of angular distance from the main body of Sgr along the leading arm (left panels) and trailing arm (right panels). The [α/Fe] gradient is (0.67 ± 0.15) × 10 ⁻³ dex deg ⁻¹ in leading arm 1 and (0.86 ± 0.12) × 10 ⁻³ dex deg ⁻¹ in trailing arm 1. There is no obvious trend in leading arm 2 or trailing arm 2 except for the fluctuations of individual points.
