The best cases have ﹩d\simeq 1﹩ km, but these are statistically rare; many more clone pairs have distances of several hundreds of kilometers. The gray curves correspond to power laws ﹩N{(d)=(d/900)}^{\alpha }﹩, for three values ﹩\alpha =1﹩, 2, and 3 (labels).
