Relation between the mass ratio of ejected brown dwarf binaries and the mass of the third body. The figure shows what is already known from the triple diagnostic diagram, namely that S-low binaries (dominant single, low mass-ratio binary) do not appear to be produced in triple interactions with accretion and an additional physical process is required to produce them. Spectral types for main sequence stars are indicated.
