Linear mapping between MK(0) and HK(0) using HST parallaxes and proper motions for targets scattered over the entire sky. rms residual is 0.7 mag. The linear fit (MK(0) = a + b HK(0)) coefficient errors are 1σ. Stellar classifications range from white dwarfs to Cepheids, as listed in Table 1.
