Stellar mass compared to the K _s -band luminosity. The masses are estimated from the K _s , W1, and W2 luminosities and the M/ L relations of Zibetti et al. (2009), Zhu et al. (2010), the S4G/Chabrier IMF relation (Equation (7)), and the M/ L relations from this work (Equations (4) and (9); Figure 17). For comparison, the dashed line represents a M/ L fraction of unity.
