Spectroscopic vs. photometric metallicities for dwarf (crosses) and giant (points) candidates. Shown each are mean and 1 σ scatter. The dwarf stars clearly deviate from unity (solid line). Data were binned by 0.25 dex, except for the most metal‐poor and metal‐rich bin, in which we chose to include 20 stars for better sampling.
