Tapered 15 GHz VLBA image of PKS 2155−304 from 2003 September 20. The restoring beam is 4.38 by 1.44 mas at a position angle of −4°. The lowest contour is drawn at a flux density of 0.45 mJy beam⁻¹ (3 times the rms noise level). Successive contours are each a factor of 2 higher. The peak flux density is 140 mJy beam⁻¹.
