Spectral index ﹩\alpha _{\mathrm{ox}\,}﹩ compared to the monochromatic 2500 Å luminosity, which is in units of ergs s−1 cm−2 Å−1. Filled circles are the objects from this study, for which ﹩L_{2500\ \Å }﹩ is derived from the power‐law continuum fits of Greene & Ho (2005). For comparison, we also plot the Williams et al. (2004) sample (open circles), the PG NLS1s (open triangles), and NGC 4395 (asterisk), as observed with Chandra (Moran et al. 2005). The solid line represents the best‐fit L2500 Å‐﹩\alpha _{\mathrm{ox}\,}﹩ relation of Strateva et al. (2005), while the dashed lines bracket 1 σ about the best fit.
