Caption: Fig. 2.
Color‐magnitude diagrams. The solid line represents the reddened ZAMS relation, while the dashed line denotes the equal binary limit. A large dot, triangle, and large cross represents, respectively, a proper‐motion member (Pμ > 0.6), an Hα emission star from Hawley, Tourtellot, & Reid (1999), and an X‐ray source. A small dot, small cross, and star mark denote a star with good photometry ( ≤ 0.1), bad quality (
> 0.1), and data from the photoelectric photometry of previous investigators, respectively. The photometry of a few stars in (a) marked by a star symbol was derived from our photometry, but they were all saturated in the short exposure images. The boxed symbols in the lower left corner in (a) and (b) indicate the four known white dwarfs in NGC 2516.
