Model continua employed in photoionization calculations. The dotted line is the continuum incident on the screen, while the solid line is the transmitted continuum incident on the filament. Free‐free, free‐bound, and two‐photon emission from the screen make the transmitted continuum higher than the incident one for energies below ~0.8 ryd.
