Optical color vs. redshift for FBQS quasars. At ﹩z> 3﹩ the colors of the quasars begin to redden, so that high‐z quasars may be lost from the FBQS sample because of the color cut at O−﹩E\leq 2﹩ (Hook et al. 1995).
