FPN‐corrected normalized spectra of the interstellar C II] 2325 Å (top solid curve) and O I] 1355 Å (bottom curve) features toward HD 24534. The oxygen data have been shifted in velocity by +1.0 km s⁻¹, which is well within the calibration uncertainty of GHRS spectra. The O I data are also shown replotted as a dotted line shifted up to the continuum level of the C II spectrum.
