Shell SNRs with distances derived from our Σ‐D relation (see Table 3) are shown as open diamonds, while SNRs with known distances are shown as filled diamonds. The filled circle marks the Galactic center, and the asterisk marks the position of the Sun. Also shown are the three regions into which the near half of the Galaxy is divided (see § 4).
