Expected contribution from millisecond pulsars to the Galactic γ‐ray intensity in the energy range 300–5000 MeV and in the longitude interval −60° to 60° is shown as a function of Galactic latitude. The observations of COS B (Strong et al. 1988) are also shown. Curve 1: Intensity expected from the millisecond pulsars in the disk of the Galaxy (assuming Ntotal = 104); Curve 2: Intensity expected from the millisecond pulsars in the globular clusters of the Galaxy (number per globular cluster assumed 500); Curve 3: Expected combined intensity from all millisecond pulsars in the Galaxy.
