Direct comparison of our photometry with that of U98. The line shows a linear least‐squares fit to the data with the corresponding equation recorded below. The errors in Δ(B−V) include only our photon‐counting errors; we have added an additional error of 0.0378 to Δ(U−B) to produce an acceptable χ2. The zero points represent significant offsets between our and U98 photometry, while the slopes are weakly significant and may suggest some nonlinearity in the transformations from observed to standard magnitudes.
