Direct comparison of our photometry with that of U98. The line shows a linear least‐squares fit to the data with the corresponding equation recorded below. The errors in Δ(B−V) include only our photon‐counting errors; we have added an additional error of 0.0378 to Δ(U−B) to produce an acceptable χ². The zero points represent significant offsets between our and U98 photometry, while the slopes are weakly significant and may suggest some nonlinearity in the transformations from observed to standard magnitudes.
