Solar Orbiter validation for the lower of the two middle samples of HelioFill’s correlation over the 96 (2022 August 12 12:00 UT), rolled in longitude so that the scored region (white) is centered. Top: two-view input (black: observed by neither SDO nor STEREO-A), HelioFill (ρ = 0.38), and the diffusion stage alone (0.46); bottom: EUI 304 Å truth calibrated to AIA units (black: not observed by EUI), persistence (0.26), and climatology (0.16), all on one color scale. In this sample, PSNR is 17.5 dB for the diffusion stage, 16.6 for climatology, 14.8 for HelioFill, and 14.1 for persistence; Table 3 gives the means over all 96 samples. Over all 96 samples, HelioFill correlates better than persistence on 61% and than climatology on 81%; the diffusion stage does so on 90% and 93%.
