The joint posterior probability distribution for the cosine of the angle between the line of sight and the total angular momentum of the binary ﹩\cos \,{\theta }_{JN}﹩ at a reference frequency of 20 Hz, and the luminosity distance to the source DL. These analyses rule out a face-on or face-off configuration at high credibility (the prior on ﹩\cos \,{\theta }_{JN}﹩ is flat). At these signal strengths, despite the fact that a single detector cannot constrain the polarization of the signal, the information on the viewing angle is provided by the subdominant angular modes in the waveform. Credible intervals are given in Table 2.
