Comparison of Ba and Y abundances as a function of iron abundance. Stars are limited to the region of M ₂ < 0.75 and [Y/Fe] > 0.25. Y, being a light (first-peak) s-process element, is predicted to be produced more efficiently at higher [Fe/H] values as compared to the heavier (second-peak) Ba (M. Busso et al. 2001). We find [Y/Ba] to increase with [Fe/H], agreeing with the prediction.
