Redshift ordered spectra for the red type 1 QSOs in the F2MS sample. The wavelength range shown is from 4000 to 10000 Å. The black line is the observed quasar spectrum, the red line is the best-fit SMC reddening law applied to the FBQS composite. We show the FBQS spectrum as a blue line normalized to the reddened composite at 9800 Å for presentation purposes only, normally the unreddened spectrum would have much higher flux.
