Magnification of the dominant subimage scales with the source position to a power of less than −1 in regions well inside the caustics. This scaling slope is much shallower than the β^−14/3 slope (dashed gray line) characteristic of the overall brightness distribution of all scattered images observed as the main parabolic arc.
