Radius at which the first (lowest density) transition from nuclear matter to quark matter occurs, for the families of stars whose M(R) relations were given in Fig. 3. Note that this radius is quite large for the heavier stars. In the c=0.3 case there may be transitions back and forth between quark and nuclear matter at higher density (smaller radii).
